Last spring, I was fortunate to travel to Brussels with my awesome daytime job, accounting department of Bisnode. It is such a beautiful place with grand buildings and churches. We lived dab smack in the middle of downtown near Grand Place. We of course had some alone time where I used the hop on and hop off bus to explore the must see sites. I loooved the Royal Botanical garden. Strapped for time and long, long lines, I wasn’t able to go through the whole park.
We also got a guided tour the last day. He was entertaining and so well informed. We got to go to a chocolatier, macron store and cookie store and got to taste as part of the tour. Of course, we also had beer tasting. Not being a huge beer fan, I must say that I enjoyed it a lot!
Definitely one of the highlights was to meet Gert Huygaerts again. He is an awesome and passionate photographer based in Belgium. Some weeks prior to our trip, we met in Moda e Arte workshop. He is such a helpful and gentle soul. You can’t help but really like this very likable guy. We went around and chatted photography among other things and we took some pictures of each other in this wonderful park with magnificent light, Mont des arts.
Enjoy the sights, minus the sounds ;)
